Anil is an Aerospace Engineering Master's student in Cognitive Engineering Center at Georgia Tech. He received his B.Sc. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2012. As an undergraduate student, he participated in an internship program with Lockheed Martin as a systems engineer. As an Lockheed systems engineer, he contributed to the Long Range Land Attack Projectile Program in both engineering and management roles. He has also conducted undergraduate research in aerospace controls, material science, and human factors.
In Cognitive Engineering Center, Anil is working with Dr. Amy Pritchett. He is currently working on the NASA funded “Flight deck visual and auditory display counter-measures to spatial disorientation (SD) and loss of energy state awareness” project in a collaboration of Georgia Tech and Honeywell. His primary focus is applying a computational to predict the best possible expectation of the aircraft state in various SD-related scenarios. The model estimates pilot expectation based on both visual and vestibular sensing and will be used to examine the underlying mechanisms of SD.
Anil spends his spare time playing music, volunteering, and reading. He also plans to get his private's pilot's license in the upcoming year.
