JULY 5, 2016: Marc Canellas won the Poster Prize at the 2016 Summer Institute for Bounded Rationality for his poster, "A General Linear Model of Fast-and-Frugal Judgment and Decision Making." The competition was hosted by the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin, Germany, and the award was sponsored by the Joachim Herz Stiftung Foundation. 36 researchers from around the world presented their research posters in the competition and were evaluated by the research staff of the Max Planck Institute.
The Summer Institute for Bounded Rationality is hosted annually at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development in Berlin - the home of the fast-and-frugal heuristics research program. Marc was selected from a “large group of applicants due his outstanding academic achievements and promising research projects” to attend the two-week long workshop which provided an interdisciplinary platform for sharing knowledge and discussing the importance and application of simple solutions to complex problems.
